Matthew Larson

Matthew Larson is an Associate Professor and Director of Implementation at the Center for Behavioral Health and Justice (CBHJ) within Wayne State University's School of Social Work. He holds a Ph.D. from Arizona State University (2013) and specializes in criminal justice policy evaluation, youth justice, and violence prevention. His research has been funded by entities like the National Institute of Justice and National Science Foundation, focusing on topics such as recidivism, mental health integration in criminal justice systems, and community-based interventions.

Dr. Larson leads the CBHJ's implementation science initiatives, ensuring projects align with evidence-based frameworks.
