Matthew Johnston is an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Oregon State University. His research focuses on integrating sensors with CMOS circuits, stretchable electronics, and bio-energy harvesting. He holds a B.S. from Caltech and a Ph.D. from Columbia University. Prior to academia, he co-founded Helixis, a biotech instrumentation startup, and worked in venture capital. His awards include the 2020 SRC Young Faculty Award and 2021 Teaching Excellence Award.
