Matthew Ichihashi Potts

Matthew Ichihashi Potts serves as the Plummer Professor of Christian Morals and Pusey Minister in Harvard University's Memorial Church. He teaches at Harvard Divinity School (HDS), focusing on sacramental theology, moral theology, ministry, pastoral theology, and religion & literature. He earned his BA from the University of Notre Dame, MDiv and PhD from Harvard. His work bridges literary analysis with theological inquiry, as seen in his books on Cormac McCarthy and forgiveness. He co-hosts the podcast Harry Potter and the Sacred Text and sits on the editorial board of Literature and Theology.
