Matthew Holman is a Research Fellow at The Courtauld Institute of Art's Centre for the Art of the Americas (2022-23), specializing in modern and contemporary American literature and visual arts with a focus on transnational cultural exchange, avant-garde movements, and intersections between political organization and artistic form. He leads events on North American art, including symposia on lyrical abstraction and Alice Neel.
