Matthew Goodwin

Matthew Goodwin, MD, MS, FACS, is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He specializes in adult cardiac surgery, heart failure, and mechanical circulatory support.

His research focuses on

• Vascular tone and endothelial remodeling in heart failure and pulmonary hypertension
• Valvular heart disease in advanced heart failure
• Mechanical circulatory support for decompensated heart failure and cardiogenic shock
