Matthew Euler

Matthew J. Euler is Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology at University of Utah. Directs research at the intersection of clinical neuropsychology and cognitive neuroscience using EEG methods. Current projects identify EEG markers distinguishing healthy aging from early Alzheimer's disease.

Research examines:

• Neural anticipatory mechanisms and fluid intelligence
• EEG power spectrum reliability as biomarker
• Resting EEG spectral slopes in aging

Accepts PhD students with neuropsychology/cognitive neuroscience experience for Fall 2026 cohort.
