
About
Matthew Dyson is a Professor of Civil and Criminal Law at the University of Oxford's Faculty of Law and a Fellow of Corpus Christi College, Oxford. He holds a Global Professorship at the Notre Dame London Law Programme. His research focuses on criminal law, tort law, comparative law, and legal history, with an emphasis on historical and comparative methodologies.
He has held academic roles since 2008, including Fellow in Law and Director of Studies at Trinity College and Jesus College, Cambridge. Currently, he serves as an Associate Member of 6KBW College Hill (specializing in criminal law) and a Research Fellow of the Utrecht Centre for Accountability and Liability Law. He is also President of the European Society for Comparative Legal History.
