Matthew Dennis is an Assistant Professor in Ethics of Technology at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), affiliated with the Philosophy & Ethics group and the EAISI institute. He co-directs the Eindhoven Center for Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence (ECPAI) and serves as Senior Research Fellow with the Ethics of Socially Disruptive Technologies (ESDiT) consortium.
His research examines how emerging technologies challenge concepts of fairness, autonomy, well-being, and creativity, particularly in digital content consumption and AI-generated synthetic content. He contributes to debates on digital well-being, algorithmic ethics, and self-cultivation, with a focus on platform design and societal impact.
