Matthew Buckley is a Lecturer in Psychology at Aston University's School of Psychology, within the College of Health and Life Sciences. His research focuses on spatial cognition, navigation learning processes, and their neural substrates, utilizing virtual environments and reverse-translated rodent study paradigms. He explores developmental trajectories of navigational abilities and spatial deficits in neurological conditions. Recent work examines how spatial boundaries influence event memory formation.
