Matthew Boice

Matthew Boice is a professional freelance bassoonist and instructor based in Rochester, New York. He performs with leading regional orchestras such as the Rochester Philharmonic, Buffalo Philharmonic, and Symphoria Syracuse. His academic affiliation is with the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester, where he serves as a Lecturer.

• Education: Bachelor’s in Bassoon Performance from Crane School of Music (studied with Dr. Carol Lowe), Master’s in Music Performance and Literature from Eastman School of Music (studied with George Sakakeeny).
