Matthew Barth is the Yeager Families Professor of Engineering and Director of the Center for Environmental Research and Technology (CE-CERT) at the University of California, Riverside (UCR). He holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UC Santa Barbara (1990) and has been affiliated with UCR since 1991. His research focuses on intelligent transportation systems, environmental impacts of transportation, and smart mobility solutions. Barth is an IEEE Fellow (2014) and has led influential roles in IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society and Vehicular Technology Society. His work includes pioneering contributions to connected vehicle technology and air quality modeling in transportation systems.
