Matteo Riva is a Lecturer at ETH Zürich's Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering, part of the School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering. He serves as Teaching Coordinator for the PLUS Chair since 2024 and has held roles such as Ph.D. Researcher at ETH Zurich (2021–present), Scientific Staff at WSL (2020–2021), and various internships in Swiss and Ticino institutions. His research focuses on spatial analysis of nature’s contributions to people, open spaces in mountain regions, and urban sustainability. He leads projects like 'New Agendas under Planetary Urbanisation' and collaborates with institutions like WSL and the Future Cities Lab.
