Matteo Pretelli

Matteo Pretelli is an Associate Professor of North American History at the University of Naples 'L'Orientale', specializing in Italian migration to the United States and Italo-American sociopolitical relations. He holds a PhD from the University of Trieste and maintains active research collaborations internationally.

His research examines:

• Transnational migration patterns and diaspora identities
• Political and cultural relations between Italy and the US
• 20th century military history through ethnic perspectives
• Return migration and cultural reintegration processes
