Matteo Frey

Matteo Frey is a doctoral candidate at the Lucerne Graduate School in Ethics (LSGE) within the Institute for Social Ethics (ISE) at the Faculty of Theology, University of Lucerne. His research focuses on the ethical dimensions of political neutrality in international institutions, particularly analyzing the International Olympic Committee (IOC). He is supervised by Prof. Dr. Peter G. Kirchschläger. Frey holds a Master's degree in Religious Studies, Economics, and Religious Studies from the Interdisciplinary Center for Religion-Economics-Politics (2021), and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and International Management from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (2017). He has professional experience in project management with World Vision and volunteer work with organizations such as Malteser Hospital Service Switzerland and the Erasmus Student Network (ESN). His academic interests span political ethics, international relations, and peace work ethics.
