Matteo Fabbri serves as a Lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna (ABABO), teaching Digital Modeling Techniques for the Restoration – Wooden and Painted Materials PFP2 program. Previously, he held a contract lecturer position for Advanced Three-Dimensional Surveying at the Faculty of Architecture of Ferrara in 2007.
His research focuses on digital applications for cultural heritage preservation, with core expertise in:
- 3D modeling and scanning for architectural documentation
- Restoration methodologies for wooden/painted artifacts
- Digital reconstruction of archaeological sites
- Integration of CAD software in heritage conservation

As CEO and co-founder of TryeCo, he leads high-impact projects including the VeMa model for the Venice Architecture Biennale, Metavisual modeling for Milan EXPO 2015, and reconstructions of the Egyptian Museum in Turin and Palmyra's Temple of Bel for the 'Rebirth from Destruction' exhibition.
