Matt Morgan is a Senior Lecturer in Musical Theatre Voice at the University of Florida's School of Theatre + Dance. He holds roles as Visiting Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre Voice at the University of Florida, Vocal Director for Players by the Sea, and Vice President of North Florida NATS. His career spans acclaimed operatic and concert performances across major institutions including the Florentine Opera, New York City Opera, and Lincoln Center.
Education: Alumnus of Louisiana State University, Pittsburgh Opera Center, and National Opera Company.
Research interests focus on vocal performance in opera, musical theatre, and classical singing techniques. His performances include world premieres such as Sister Carrie (Florentine Opera) and The Judgment of Minds, alongside notable roles in Madama Butterfly, Elmer Gantry, and West Side Story.
Teaching engagements include leadership roles at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and Jacksonville University. He has directed vocal programs for over 50+ musical productions nationwide.
Labs/Teams: Core member of Players by the Sea vocal department and affiliated with the University of Florida Opera Theatre.
