Matt Bondurant is Professor of English and Director of the MFA Program at University of Mississippi. His novels include Oleander City (2022) and The Wettest County in the World adapted into film Lawless. Teaches fiction, screenwriting, and literary studies.
Research explores narrative techniques in contemporary fiction and screenplay development. Professional credits include original series development with HBO/Cinemax and Warner Brothers.
Education: PhD in Creative Writing from Florida State University. Fellowships: Walter E. Dakin Fellow (Sewanee) and residencies at Yaddo/MacDowell Colony. Directs graduate workshops while maintaining active creative practice.
