Matilda Jones

Matilda Jones is a Scientific Associate in Cultural Studies at the Institute of English Philology, Freie Universität Berlin, located at Habelschwerdter Allee 45, Room JK29/240, 14195 Berlin.

Her research centres on Cultural Studies with a particular emphasis on postcolonial Britain, sound studies, and the interplay between aural space and temporal reconfiguration in contemporary British literature and culture.

Her 2024 publication in the Journal for the Study of British Cultures explores how Belinda Zhawi’s poetry re-imagines postcolonial British identity through sonic and spatial lenses, demonstrating her ongoing engagement with cutting-edge interdisciplinary cultural analysis.
