Matias Reus Pons

Matias Reus Pons is Professor of Human Geography at the University of the Balearic Islands, specializing in demographic analysis and migration studies. His research examines health disparities among aging migrant populations in Europe using advanced statistical and geospatial methods.

As member of the Demographic and Tourism Studies Group, he investigates tourism-driven demographic changes in mature destinations. His teaching spans population geography, geography pedagogy, and territory-society relationships across education and geography programs.
