Mathilde von Bulow

Dr Mathilde von Bulow is a Lecturer and Director of Teaching in the School of International Relations at the University of St Andrews. Her academic roles include editorial positions such as Co-Editor in Chief of War in History and Book Reviews Editor for several journals. She specializes in historical international relations, focusing on Cold War Europe, decolonization, and the foreign relations of Germany, France, and Algeria.

She is currently leading a Carnegie Research Network Grant project on 'Rethinking Strategy' (2022–2024).
