Mathilde Worch Jensen

Mathilde Worch Jensen is a Tenure Track Assistant Professor at the Center for Business Law and Public Regulation within the Faculty of Law at the University of Copenhagen. Her academic focus lies in criminal law, with particular attention to the impact of international obligations on national law and practice.

Her educational background includes a Ph.D. in Criminal Law from the University of Copenhagen (2023) and a Cand.jur. (Master of Laws) from the same institution (2016).

Professor Jensen's research spans criminal law, victimology, and human rights, with a strong emphasis on gender-based violence. She investigates intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and the legal frameworks surrounding these issues, advocating for gender-sensitive criminal legislation. Her work often adopts a victim-centered perspective, challenging traditional legal doctrines.
