Mathilda Tham is Professor of Design and Research Director at Linnaeus University. She leads strategic initiatives including The Bridge Collaboration Arena and Forest Meetings project. Her research in metadesign integrates feminist, decolonial, and postgrowth perspectives to address sustainability through systemic product/system/paradigm-level interventions. She co-created the Earth Logic Fashion Action Research Plan and co-founded the Union of Concerned Researchers in Fashion.
Her teaching facilitates experiential learning in metadesign frameworks within BFA/MFA Design + Change programs. Research employs co-creation to develop new governance models for sustainable coexistence, addressing housing, multispecies relations, and socio-environmental policy. Current projects include Earth Logic design and Holding Surplus House.
