Mathieu Turgeon

Mathieu Turgeon is a Professor at the Department of Political Science within the Faculty of Social Science at the University of Western Ontario. His research focuses on political behavior, public opinion, political psychology, and methodological innovations in statistical, experimental, and survey techniques.

Education: PhD from the University of Texas at Austin. His work spans comparative studies across Brazil, the U.S., France, Canada, and Latin America, with publications in multiple languages.

Research Interests: Dr. Turgeon examines electoral systems, voter participation, and political accountability mechanisms. Current projects include analyzing compulsory voting's impact on turnout and public opinion on affirmative action in Brazil, with methodological rigor in cross-national contexts.
