About
Mathieu Pasturel is a CNRS Researcher at the Institut des Sciences Chimiques de Rennes (ISCR) since 2006. He holds a Habilitation à diriger des recherches (HDR) from Rennes 1 University (2013) and has maintained international collaborations in nuclear materials research and energy applications of intermetallics.
- Researcher at ISCR (Rennes, France) since 2006
- Leader of ISCR's "Intermetallics" research topic since 2014
- International advisory committee member for "Solid Compound of transition Elements" and "Journées des Actinides" conferences
Research Interests: Focuses on uranium-based intermetallics (phase diagrams, crystal structures, magnetic/electrical properties) and their applications in nuclear materials. Also works on intermetallics for energy applications through powder X-ray diffraction characterization.
- Crystallographic and physical properties of CeTX/UTX intermetallics
- Magnetic frustration and coexistence of superconductivity
- Neutron diffraction and X-ray absorption spectroscopy
- Collaborations with CEA Cadarache, Framatome-Cerca, Lisbon nuclear institute, and Wroclaw physics institute
Teaching: Delivers M2-level courses on "Intermetallics and their Applications as Energy Materials" at University of Rennes.
