Mathieu Kourouma

Dr. Mathieu Kourouma is a Professor and Interim Chair in the Department of Computer Science at Southern University. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is affiliated with the university's research initiatives in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Machine Learning, and Sensor Networks. His academic role includes overseeing departmental operations as Interim Chair while contributing to teaching and research in computer science disciplines.

Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Research Interests: Dr. Kourouma’s work focuses on advanced computational techniques, including Robotics, Machine Learning applications, Big Data analytics, Sensor Networks, Bioinformatics, and Software Engineering. These areas align with his department’s research centers such as the IA Center and LONI (Laboratory for Optical and Nano-scale Imaging).
