Mathieu Guillermin

Mathieu Guillermin serves as Associate Professor of Philosophy and Ethics of Science and Technology at Lyon Catholic University (UCLy), France, affiliated with the CONFLUENCE: Sciences et Humanités research unit (EA 1598).

He holds dual doctoral degrees in Physics and Philosophy. His research critically examines ethical frameworks at the intersection of scientific advancement and technological innovation, with concentrated expertise in digital ethics surrounding big data, artificial intelligence systems, and robotics. Guillermin investigates how emerging technologies disrupt traditional philosophical constructs of human agency and moral responsibility.
