Mathew White is a Research Professor in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Vienna. His work examines the psychological benefits of nature exposure, blue space therapy, and environmental risk perception. White leads projects such as RESONATE, building resilience through nature-based therapies.
His research explores connections between natural environments, mental health, and well-being across diverse populations. Recent publications focus on global life satisfaction metrics, microplastic risk perceptions, and neural mechanisms of nature-induced analgesia.
