Mathew Alexanderson

Dr. Mathew Alexanderson is a Research Fellow at the School of Veterinary Medicine, Murdoch University, specializing in regenerative agriculture and sustainable land management. His work focuses on understanding farmer decision-making processes and transitions toward climate-resilient practices.

• Education: Bachelor of Environmental Science (2013–2016), Bachelor of Science with Honours (2018–2019), and Doctor of Philosophy (2019–2024), all from Southern Cross University.
• Key Projects: Principal Investigator for the Soil CRCs Surveying Farm Practices project (2019–present) and Project Developer for the Regenerative Agriculture Mentoring Project (RAMP), funded by the NSW Environmental Trust and SQNNSW Innovation Hub.

His research integrates landscape ecology, rural sociology, and agricultural land management to address climate change mitigation and environmental governance challenges. He utilizes insights from his PhD thesis, which examines how beliefs about anthropogenic climate change and education levels influence farming communities.
