Matúš Cepka

Matúš Cepka is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Applied Arts, Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, specializing in the Metal and Jewelry Studio. His role focuses on teaching and research in special jewelry technologies, including CNC milling, 3D scanning, etching, and casting.

His research interests emphasize the structural and functional essence of jewelry and kinetic objects. He prioritizes minimalism, avoiding unnecessary decoration, while also engaging in replicating historical artistic jewels.

Selected Artworks: Stainless steel and brass jewelry (1996–2020), silver brooches (2017), titanium rings (2019), and collaborative kinetic objects like the 2020 "Homage to VK Novák" with Blanka Cepková.
