Masaya Yoshida is a Research Professor at the Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies (ICREA) and a member of the Center for Theoretical Linguistics (CLT) and the Department of Catalan Philology at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).

Research Interests
Prof. Yoshida’s core expertise lies at the intersection of linguistics and psychology. His work explores how the human mind processes syntactic structures in real time, focusing on syntax, sentence processing, and broader psycholinguistic phenomena. By combining theoretical linguistics with experimental methodologies, he investigates the cognitive mechanisms that underlie language comprehension and production.
Previous Position
Before joining ICREA, he served as Associate Professor of Linguistics at Northwestern University.
