Masaki Uchida

Masaki Uchida is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at California State University, Fresno. He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry from Kyoto University, Japan, and has conducted postdoctoral research at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (Japan), Montana State University, and Indiana University. His research focuses on bioinspired materials synthesis, leveraging protein cages (e.g., viral capsids, ferritin) for nanomaterial development, self-assembly of 3D array materials, and applications in catalysis and biomedicine.

Research Interests:

• Biomimetic synthesis of hybrid materials

Teaching:
Courses include CHEM 123, 155A, 220, 222, and 224, covering inorganic chemistry and biochemistry. He mentors students in laboratory research projects.
