Marybeth Doucette

Marybeth Doucette is an Assistant Professor and Purdy Crawford Chair in Aboriginal Business Studies at the Shannon School of Business, Cape Breton University. She is a Membertou band member and doctoral candidate in management at St. Mary's University. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering from Dalhousie University and an MBA in Community Economic Development from Cape Breton University.

Research Focus: Doucette specializes in decolonization frameworks and reconciliation processes within business contexts. Her work examines how Mi'kmaw and Canadian organizations develop culturally informed knowledge-sharing practices through policy implementation. Key research domains include Two-eyed seeing (Etuaptmumk), Indigenous business models, and community-based economic development strategies that bridge cultural divides.
