Dr. Mary Vaughn is a Professor of Communication Studies at Belmont University, where she has served for over 25 years. She is affiliated with the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences. Her expertise spans instructional communication, power dynamics in interpersonal relationships, and applied research areas such as Montessori education, domestic violence shelters, service-learning, and student-faculty interactions.
Dr. Vaughn holds a Ph.D. in Interpersonal Communication from Bowling Green State University. She teaches courses in public speaking, interpersonal communication, and family communication. Her research has been published in journals including Communication Education, Communication Studies, Communication Teacher, and Business & Professional Communication Quarterly.
