Mary Therese Novak is a Clinical Associate Professor and Director of Clinical Education in the Physical Therapy Department at Nazareth College. She holds a BS in Physical Therapy from Russell Sage College, an MBA in Health Systems Administration from Union College, and a DPT from Utica College.
Her academic and clinical interests focus on patient client management, interprofessional education, clinical education, aquatics, and orthopedics. She has pioneered the development and operations of Nazareth College’s Pro Bono clinics both on and off campus. Additionally, she is a Certified CPR/First Aid Instructor and Level II Certified Clinical Instructor, and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Her research emphasizes interprofessional collaboration, health and wellness, and group exercise. She oversees clinical education programs and has contributed to the integration of wellness clinics into the curriculum. She is also involved in teaching soft tissue techniques and geriatrics.
