Mary Sandoval is Seabury Professor of Mathematics and Natural Philosophy at Trinity College, specializing in global analysis and partial differential equations. Her research examines solutions to PDEs in abstract spaces and their relationships to geometric properties, with applications in mathematical physics.
She teaches courses connecting mathematics to physics including Linear Algebra, Multivariable Calculus, and specialized topics in relativity and topology. Before joining Trinity in 1999, she developed mathematical models for the Department of Energy analyzing Clean Air Act implementations.
