Mary Hebert

Mary Hebert is a Professor of Pharmacy and Adjunct Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Washington. She serves as the Director of the Obstetric-Fetal Pharmacology Research Unit (OPRU), a Core Member of the Center for Ecogenetics and Environmental Health, and a Member of the Institute of Translational Health Sciences. Her research spans clinical pharmacology, focusing on drug metabolism and pharmacodynamics during pregnancy and lactation.

Dr. Hebert's research emphasizes translational approaches to understanding how medications' pharmacology changes during pregnancy and lactation. Her program integrates basic science (drug metabolism/transport), animal models (rodent to non-human primate), and human clinical trials (Phase I to III). She leads the multidisciplinary OPRU unit, collaborating across UW's School of Pharmacy and external departments.
