Mary Glaser is a Senior Lecturer Emerita in the Department of Mathematics at Tufts University, part of the School of Arts and Sciences. She specializes in undergraduate education with a focus on Discrete Mathematics, Calculus, and Linear Algebra. Her research interests include the integration of discrete mathematics into computer science education and teacher training programs.
Dr. Glaser holds a PhD from Dartmouth College (1982), specializing in graph theory. She has extensive experience teaching Transition to Advanced Mathematics courses emphasizing graph theory and has contributed to teacher development initiatives since 2002. Notably, she led workshops like 'Problem Solving with Discrete Mathematics' and the 'Leadership Program in Discrete Mathematics,' and currently trains high school teachers for the 'Advanced Quantitative Reasoning' course.
Her work bridges mathematics and computer science, informed by her dual background in both fields. She has been actively involved in curriculum development and pedagogical strategies for undergraduate STEM education.
