Mary Docter is a Professor of Spanish at Westmont College since 1992. She holds a Ph.D. in Hispanic languages and literatures from UCLA, with prior teaching experience at Scripps College. Her expertise spans 20th-century Latin American poetry, Hispanic film, and Colonial Latin American literature, particularly the works of Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz. She incorporates unique multimedia materials from extensive fieldwork across Spain, South America, Central America, and Mexico into her teaching.
