Mary Burtnick

Mary Burtnick is a Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Nevada, Reno. Her research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of Burkholderia pseudomallei pathogenesis, particularly its intracellular survival strategies and secretion systems. She has over 20 years of expertise in bacterial genetics, host-pathogen interactions, and antigen discovery.
