Prof. Dr. Martina Merz is a University Professor and Head of the Department of Science Communication and Higher Education Research at Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt. She also holds visiting roles at the Academy of Finland Centre of Excellence (University of Helsinki) and Bielefeld University’s Faculty of Mathematics. Her research focuses on knowledge cultures, scientific practices (e.g., modeling, simulation), interdisciplinary collaboration, science governance, and the role of digital technologies in academia.
