Martina Mampieri is a Research Fellow and Marie-Skłodowska-Curie Global Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. Supervised by Prof. Joshua Teplitsky and Prof. Matteo Al Kalak, she holds a double PhD in History and Jewish Studies from the University of Roma Tre and the University of Hamburg. Her work focuses on Jewish cultural and religious history, with a specific emphasis on the early modern and modern periods.

Her research explores Jewish manuscripts, book markets, and historical narratives, including projects like BookSHUK: The International Market of Jewish Manuscripts and Books (1900-1948). She is currently writing a biography of Isaiah Sonne (1887-1960).
