Professor Martin Zebracki is a critical human geographer at the University of Leeds, holding the position of Professor of Human Geography and Social Inclusion within the School of Geography, Faculty of Environment. His research focuses on intersections of public art, sexuality, queer theory, digital culture, and social inclusion, with a particular emphasis on LGBTQ+ communities. He leads initiatives such as the AHRC-funded Queer Memorials project and the CARED project on community art and disaster recovery. Zebracki also holds leadership roles in equality and inclusion at Leeds and chairs the Royal Geographical Society’s Space, Sexualities and Queer Research Group.
Education: BSc, MSc, and PhD in Human Geography from Utrecht University (2005–2012), with postgraduate studies at the University of Florida. Professional roles include Lecturer (2013–2018) and Associate Professor (2018–2023) before his current professorship.
