Martin Svatoš is a senior research scholar at the Department of Neo-Latin Studies, Center for Classical Studies, Institute of Philosophy, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Prague. With a career spanning over three decades at this institution, he has held various positions including director (1998-2000) and deputy director (2001) of the Institute for Classical Studies before becoming a senior scholar in 2004.
