Martin Salzmann

Martin Salzmann is a Professor of Linguistics at the University of Potsdam's Department of Linguistics. He serves as Co-Director of the Potsdam Morpho-Syntax Lab and Principal Investigator for the research project Consequences of head argument order for syntax. Additionally, he holds the position of Associate Editor at Natural Language and Linguistic Theory.

His research focuses on core areas of theoretical linguistics, with particular expertise in:

• Syntax and morphosyntax (clitic doubling, ellipsis, movement)
• Interface phenomena (syntax-phonology, syntax-semantics)
• Greek linguistics
• Formal grammatical analysis
