Martin Moraw is an Assistant Professor of English and Comparative Literature at The American University in Cairo (AUC), where he joined after previously teaching at Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and Boğaziçi University in Istanbul.
His academic credentials include:

- MA and BA from the University of Hamburg
Moraw's research centers on Shakespearean studies and early modern drama, with significant contributions to literary theory. He is currently finalizing his book manuscript "The Generic Unconscious: Genre, Politics, and Ideology in the Time of Shakespeare" which examines genre formation in Elizabethan literature. His scholarly publications appear in Renaissance Drama and edited collections including Thomas Middleton's The Revenger's Tragedy.
