Martin Klein

Martin Klein is a full-time Professor for Intervention Law, Constitutional Law, and European Law at the University of Applied Sciences for Police and Public Administration North Rhine-Westphalia (HSPV NRW), Bielefeld campus, since 2017. He also serves as a member of the Commission for Europe and International Affairs (since 2024) and advisory member of the Commission for Research and Development (since 2024).

Research Interests: His work focuses on the intersection of police law and constitutional rights, including topics like Bodycam evidence admissibility, privacy rights in home searches, and legal frameworks for police interventions. Recent publications analyze gender-neutral policing terminology, ethical use of force, and state responsibility in environmental crises.
