Martin Jones

Martin Jones is a Principal Lecturer in Ecology at Manchester Metropolitan University, with extensive experience in African wildlife conservation research. He has served as an external examiner for academic programs at the University of Kent, University of Derby, and University of Exeter.

• Focuses on black rhino reproductive success and elephant population dynamics

His current research centers on the Ngorongoro black rhino population in Tanzania, conducted in collaboration with the Tanzania Wildlife Research Institute and the College of African Wildlife Management, funded by the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

He actively supervises PhD candidates, having conducted 20 internal and 5 external PhD examinations.
