Martin G. Pomper is a Professor and Chair of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in Neuroradiology and Nuclear Medicine. He holds the Effie and Wofford Cain Distinguished Chair of Diagnostic Imaging. Dr. Pomper received his M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and trained at Johns Hopkins University, where he previously served as Director of Nuclear Medicine and held endowed chairs in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.
His research focuses on molecular imaging and therapy for cancer and central nervous system disorders, particularly prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeted agents. He pioneered PSMA-based diagnostics and therapeutics, including the FDA-approved PET agent PYLARIFY®. His work spans 500+ peer-reviewed publications, patents, and international conference presentations.
