Martin Beaver is a Professor of Violin and former Co-Director of String Chamber Music studies (2013–2018) at the Colburn School in Los Angeles. A world-renowned violinist, he was First Violin of the Tokyo String Quartet (2002–2013), performing globally in venues like Carnegie Hall and Berliner Philharmonie. He has collaborated with leading artists such as Leon Fleisher and Pinchas Zukerman, and recorded extensively on labels including Harmonia Mundi and Naxos.
His education includes studies under Victor Danchenko, Josef Gingold, and Henryk Szeryng.
