Martin Bader

Martin Bader is a Professor of Technology Management and Entrepreneurship at the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) within the THI Business School, holding this position since March 2016. He concurrently serves as Director of the Center of Entrepreneurship at THI Business School (since October 2016), Degree Program Director for "Entrepreneurship and Digital Business" and "Entrepreneurship and Corporate Venturing", and a Business Start-Up Mentor.

His academic foundation includes a Diploma in Engineering (Electronics) from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany (1995), specializing in telecommunications engineering through a tripartite program with ESIEE Paris and the University of Southampton, UK.

Professor Bader's research critically examines the nexus of technology, business strategy, and innovation ecosystems. His core focus areas span Innovation and Technology Management, Intellectual Property Management, Business Start-ups, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, and Business Model Innovation. His scholarly work investigates intellectual property governance in inter-firm R&D collaborations—particularly within service industries—as evidenced by his dissertation, while also analyzing strategic business model adaptations for competitive advantage in volatile markets across both nascent ventures and established corporations.

As Director of the Center of Entrepreneurship, he spearheads institutional support for entrepreneurial ventures, including mentorship frameworks and resource allocation, though specific grant portfolios remain undocumented in available sources.
